On the 27th April 2013 my Wardens and I welcomed our guests to the Annual "RWM's Invitation Dinner" held in our Lodge refectory. The guests comprised of the RWM (or his representative) and Warden's of a number of our sister lodges in the Provence of Perthshire East and other lodges with whom we have close ties. A total of 14 lodges were represented at the dinner.
The evening was most enjoyable with an excellent meal catered for by my good lady, Mrs Linda Robertson and Mrs Marlowe Howarth who gave generously of their time to plan and prepare an excellent three course dinner. Our Almoner, Brother Frank Howarth not only manned the bar but provided harmony on guitar and song. A number of other guests also entertained us in song, we will long remember Brother David Vennard P.M. of Glasgow Kilwinning Lodge No.4 who led the brethren in song.
Enjoy the photos taken on the evening by our WJW, Bro Alexander Moncrieff, who came armed with his camera and later apologised to me for taking so few photos - his excuse was he was enjoying the evening so much he forgot to point and click. That not withstanding I think his snapshots reflect the fun we had on the evening.
I am looking forward to the next "Master's Invitation dinner" which is pencilled in for the 26th April 2014, Master and Wardens of Perthshire East do pencil the date in your diary and try to keep it clear so you can join us for another great evening next year.
